Owen J. Rescher focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and litigates in several areas, including commercial, employment, intellectual property, and product liability disputes.  Owen has defended cases alleging breach of contract, fraud, bad faith, and violation of California’s various unfair competition laws.  Owen has also defended employers in disputes involving claims for unpaid overtime wages, including class actions.  His experience in intellectual property disputes includes representing both inventors and alleged infringers.  Owen has also defended products liability cases involving over-the-counter and prescription medications, toxic substances, and automotive products.

Before joining the firm, Owen was an associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP’s San Francisco office for five and one half years.  In addition, Owen clerked for the Honorable Terri J. Stoneburner and the Honorable Bruce D. Willis at the Minnesota Court of Appeals after graduating from law school.
