Tanya Wei’s practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation. Before joining the firm, Tanya was an associate with Selman Breitman LLP, where she gained extensive experience conducting and defending depositions, writing and arguing motions, participating in settlement conferences, and litigating matters to trial. She also worked on patent infringement matters involving mechanical and electrical engineering patents for more than one and a half years at McDermott, Will & Emery LLP.

Tanya graduated in 1996 from The Johns Hopkins University where she studied English and Biology. She then obtained a Masters degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Tufts University in 1999. Tanya graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2004 where she received the Law Faculty Scholarship Award and served as a Research Editor for the Santa Clara Law Review.

Prior to law school, Ms. Wei worked as a Technology Transfer & Licensing Associate for Harvard University’s Center for Blood Research. She drafted and negotiated process development contracts, including technology transfer, confidentiality, non-disclosure, licensing, master, and consulting agreements involving novel biotechnology. She also served as the editor of two Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism articles.
